Aerobic Classes


                       Aerobics is a physical exercise performed under a rhythmic music. It includes running, jumping and stretching. It may be practiced in a group setting led by an instructor, although it can be done solo and without musical accompaniment.


Now-a-days the practice of aerobics has become the most happening workout trend between the youth. Not only by youth, people of various ages also prefer aerobic classes as it is not only interesting but also beneficial for health.


Aerobics is invented by a US physiologist and physical therapist in their survey. They puzzled about why some people with excellent muscular strength perform poor in cycling, running and swimming. In 1968 they started aerobic classes which includes some basic programs  such as running, walking, swimming and bicycling.
Later many versions came into existence.

The main goal of aerobics is to prevent illness and promote physical fitness.
Formal aerobics classes are divided into different levels of intensity and complexity. A well-balanced aerobics class will have five components: 
  • warm-up (5-10 minutes), 
  • cardio vascular conditioning (25-30 minutes), 
  • muscular strength and conditioning (10-15 minutes), 
  • cool-down (5-8 minutes) and 
  • stretching and flexibility (5-8 minutes).

There are many gyms and fitness centers that offer a wide variety of aerobic classes depending on their age, sex and fitness levels.A special trainer is assigned for each and every category of aerobic class at each level of training. The instructors are well trained and they do specialisation for particular type of aerobics.In general people prefer Aerobic classes with fun and specially created music with scientific choreography and training that are at the best.
